In partnership with the team at NorthX Biologics, it is our great pleasure to be leading the search for a Director of Business Development to play a key role in their efforts across the European marketplace.
Focused on providing services in Plasmid DNA and Technical Protein development and production, NorthX is set for ambitious expansion.
As Director of Business Development, you will drive and coordinate sales activities targeted at potential Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology customers, from pre-clinical through clinical and up to phase III/commercial scale projects.
The successful candidate will relish active prospecting of new business. You will cultivate strong long-term relationships with key decision-makers and develop an excellent knowledge of target customer organizations.
Working across the company service lines to cross-promote and respond to RFPs, this role requires an individual who works effectively in a matrix, international organization where they can create solutions using multiple services.
Developing short and long-term sales and marketing strategies for NorthX Biologics, you will also undertake operational activities such as attending, participating and speaking at trade shows and industry conferences.
Who are you?
It is likely candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree in a subject such as Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or have qualification by virtue of extensive experience in a closely related field.
As a minimum candidates will bring proven experience from the biotech, pharmaceutical or drug development sector, with at least 3 years expertise in CDMO sales development experience.
With excellent business acumen and a strategic mindset, individuals will have a proven track record at developing mid-level and high-level contacts, within pharmaceutical and/or bio-pharmaceutical sectors.
You should demonstrate ambition, an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a fast paced, evolving environment. As this is a remote role, self-discipline, attention to detail and drive to achieve multiple deadlines are a given.
