East Coast remote base, senior sales executive with API CDMO services expertise

Compensation from $275k plus incentive and benefits program

Lead Candidate are very proud to have been selected to lead this crucial project to appoint a Head of CDMO Sales in the US. With a commitment to grow their market share in the US, our global customer is an API manufacturing and CDMO services provider to the pharma industry.

Providing the market with access to high quality, reliable and complementary technologies, our customer has more than 2000 employees and annual sales over $500m. CDMO services represent a significant portion of their revenues and capabilities, offering their customers small molecule APIs, intermediates, and biomolecules.

This appointment will be responsible for developing a winning sales strategy for the US market, which they will then execute with precision and rigour to achieve designated goals.

The opportunity ….

Reporting to the CDMO President and working closely with the group Chief Commercial Officer, the successful candidate will have an impressive knowledge of the CDMO market and a proven track record of driving sales and market development.

A skilled commercial executive, who understands their customers in detail and can develop solutions and outcomes that provide mutual value. They will be informed about industry developments, the competitive landscape, and relevant trends. The Head of Sales will demonstrate an impressive track record of success, developing strategy and growing sales in small molecule API, performing a senior contributor role, while building, nurturing, and mentoring a high performing sales organisation.

With outstanding business acumen, this person will have total accountability for sales performance, with a strong focus on budgets, targets, and their achievement.

A skilled collaborator, this person will work hand in hand with senior leadership to provide input on business and market development. They will work with marketing and group sales to develop enterprise opportunities and group wide initiatives.

Is this you?

Interest is welcomed from those sales leaders with more than 10 years of experience in sales leadership, that has been developed within the CDMO market. Their expertise should extend to small molecule API, biomolecules and/or enzymes.

With a wide network and evidenced track record of success working with Big Pharma and Biotechs across the US, individuals will have extensive, long-term relationships with their customers.

Having held sales leadership positions, the successful candidate will bring a proven ability to develop, manage and motivate a remote team, possessing excellent communication skills. Experience interacting at all levels in a global company, with interactions in Europe is preferred.

This role requires an individual who has the ability work strategically, take a helicopter view but balance that with a delivery focused attitude to solving problems and delivering results.
