Aelius Biotech partner with Lead Candidate on key commercial appointment

Lead Candidate, a specialist talent partner to the global pharma and bio outsourcing space, is proud to announce an exclusive collaboration with Aelius Biotech, a North East based contract research organisation (CRO) providing in vitro models of the gastrointestinal tract, addressing the drive for New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) in the food and pharmaceutical sectors.

Lead Candidate will support the appointment of a Head of Business Development, a senior hire that marks a pivotal moment in Aelius Biotech’s growth trajectory as the business looks to accelerate its expansion.

Founded with a vision to become the trusted global leader in in vitro models of the gastrointestinal tract, Aelius Biotech offers a suite of novel, physiologically relevant in vitro models to enable food, nutraceutical, and pharmaceutical companies to make data-driven decisions. Aelius also offers in vivo human trials to food and nutraceutical customers for food safe products.

Since receiving investment from Mercia Ventures in 2023, Aelius Biotech has established independent labs, expanded the sales and operations team, and achieved a track record of significant year on year revenue growth.
