Business Development Manager

SIRIO Europe is the European arm of the leading global nutraceutical and pharmaceutical CDMO, SIRIO Pharma. 

SIRIO Europe manufactures more than 2 billion softgels a year, for 150 customers in more than 50 countries, and offers the complete portfolio of Sirio Pharma’s products including gummies, liquids and powders.

The Opportunity

To support SIRIO Europe’s ambitious growth strategy, they are looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager responsible for leading the identification and development of new customers in Europe. 

In this vital role, the Business Development Manager can expect to:

  • Work closely with the local Area Sales Manager to build a successful relationship
  • Convert opportunities into sales by seeking projects with new or existing customers.
  • Coordinate and lead teams to facilitate successful project execution.
  • Communicate new customer requirements to the Research & Development team to tailor formulations. 
  • Work closely with the marketing team to collect important market information.


Educated to a bachelor degree level in Sales and Marketing or other related subjects, candidates will possess excellent prospecting skills and have a track record of developing strategies to penetrate target customers. Along with your expertise will come strong category knowledge and business development experience in oral dosage solid form, VMS and/or Nutraceuticals.

Forming successful partnerships is central to how you work. You will bring a wealth of account management experience and understand how to develop and grow valuable customer relationships. 

As a leader, you will have practical experience structuring and managing marketing professionals across all areas and be comfortable within a matrix organisation, in an international, multicultural environment.

You will be fluent in English and possess the skills to effectively communicate across all levels to forge and nurture internal and external relationships. 

You will also have a sharp mind for business with the ability to operate both at a strategic and operational level when required.
