Business Sales Operations Manager

A global leader in DNA-encoded library (DEL) technology and small molecule drug discovery. Partnering with the world’s top pharmaceutical and biotech companies, they combine cutting-edge discovery platforms with deep scientific expertise to accelerate the identification of novel therapeutics.

They are looking to bring in a Business Sales Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in aligning Marketing and Business Development to drive revenue growth in the drug-discovery biotech sector. This position focuses on optimizing CRM systems, enhancing pipeline analytics and forecasting, streamlining lead generation and qualification, and improving overall go-to-market efficiency.

Experience working within the Life Sciences sector is essential for this role.

This role is located at Waltham, MA however the position can be worked remotely. 

Responsibilities

CRM & Systems Management

  • Lead Salesforce administration and integration with HubSpot to ensure data accuracy and efficient workflows.
  • Implement automation and manage data maintenance, system troubleshooting, and user adoption.

Pipeline Reporting & Forecasting

  • Develop, maintain, and refine dashboards tracking KPIs, deal stages, and conversion rates.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts, highlighting trends, risks, and actionable insights.

Lead Generation & Qualification

  • Identify and research prospects using data and market intelligence tools.
  • Design and execute targeted outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn, etc.) in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads using scientific and commercial criteria before passing them to BD.
  • Recommend new tools and strategies to refine market segmentation and targeting.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing on lead flow, attribution, and campaign performance through HubSpot.
  • Collaborate with BD to enhance account development, territory strategy, and sales processes.

Process Optimization & Enablement

  • Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes to drive efficiency and conversion.
  • Train teams on CRM systems, dashboards, forecasting, and best practices.
  • Ensure consistent data hygiene and adoption across Salesforce, HubSpot, and engagement platforms.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology) preferred.
  • 3+ years in sales or revenue operations, in B2B life sciences.
  • Proven success managing Salesforce and HubSpot integrations.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience in dashboards and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated ability to source, qualify, and hand off leads to BD.
  • Effective cross-functional communicator with process-improvement mindset.
  • Familiarity with sales engagement tools and data platforms.
  • Must have experience in biotech, CDMO, CRO, Pharma or drug discovery environments.
