Head of Business Development
Location: Nashua, NH
Metabolic Solutions are an established trusted partner in the application of Stable Isotopes Biomarkers in drug development and provide complete solutions for clinical study. Metabolic Solutions has experienced consistent double-digit growth and are looking for a Head of Business Development to take charge of the commercial and sales activities of the Biomarker segment. This role will help the company expand its network with biotech and pharma clients and enable accelerated growth of the Biomarker segment.
Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and reach out to new relevant prospective biotech and pharma clients.
- Manage the sales process, from lead generation to closing deals and implementation of sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Develop and deliver compelling sales pitches and presentations, scientific in nature, to potential clients.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and past clients to ensure retention and growth.
- Conduct market analysis to understand trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Collaborate internally with the operations and finance teams to ensure alignment.
- Track and analyze sales data, performance metrics, pipeline/leads into the CRM and prepare reports to management.
Qualifications
- Education: MS or PhD in biochemistry, biology, or related life science subjects.
- Experience in analytical sciences and mass spectrometry; understanding of biomarkers in a clinical trials setting is a plus.
- Experience with working in or selling to pharma and biotech organizations.
- Experience in a business development role in life sciences.
- Experience with working with a CRM, like HubSpot, including ability to track and communicate pipeline and progress.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach and ability to act autonomously.
