Senior Vice President Operations

Our customer is a market leading, PE backed drug substance CDMO, specialising in complexity and innovation, with a large global footprint and enviable customer base.

In line with their strategic objectives, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced and transformational leader to take on the role of Executive Vice President Operations to lead one of their most significant European based manufacturing sites and play a key role in the executive leadership team of the business.

With a high-profile operational footprint, the site plays a vital role in delivering high-quality drug substance, ingredients and complex chemical manufacturing solutions for global pharmaceutical and biotech clients.

As EVP, you will play a key role in the ELT while holding full strategic and operational responsibility for the site, leading it through a critical change journey.

This opportunity requires a proven leader, with expertise in large-scale drug substance CDMO manufacturing. With a technical background in science, engineering, or manufacturing operations, candidates will demonstrate experience driving major transformation initiatives and cultural change.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the site’s operation, including production, quality, engineering, EHS, supply chain, and support functions.
• Own key financial metrics including revenue, EBITDA, and cost efficiency.
• Drive cultural transformation, embedding a performance-driven and commercially agile mindset.
• Build, lead and empower a high-performing leadership team.
• Oversee lean manufacturing, operational excellence and continuous improvement principles.
• Embed a quality and compliance culture, within a complex cGMP environment.
• Engage proactively with unions, regulators, clients, and executive stakeholders.

As a leader, individuals will have a values-based approach, and bring personal resilience, drive and results focus. A strategic thinker, who can also switch to hands-on, when needed, this role needs an influencer, who empowers teams and builds strong internal engagement.
