Account Manager – Northern Europe

Remote based Account Manager Northern Europe for a global CDMO.

Lead Candidate gets the chance to work with a range of very special organisations. And this project is no exception as we support the biopharmaceutical CDMO division of a globally recognised, multibillion $ parent, with over 20k employees globally.

Our customer has a remarkable combination of technical capabilities and innovative applications, serving customers across biotech and pharmaceutical markets.

Businesses go to them for innovative ideas and integrated solutions. In this role, the Account Manager will work with Pharma Cell Nutrition customers in Northern Europe.

The successful candidate will implement the sales strategy and manage customer accounts. Working hand in hand with colleagues across the team, evaluating market opportunity for new and existing offerings.

Candidates can expect to be busy doing a combination of the following:

  • Create value propositions based on customer strategies, technical process, and market insights
  • Develop strong strategic relationships within customers’ organisation including R&D, Manufacturing and Procurement
  • Develop and implement commercial strategy and sales plans across key market segments including but not limited to Biologics/Biosimilars, Vaccines and Diagnostics
  • Defend current business, delivering exceptional customer service, while creating a total opportunity pipeline of quality growth projects with current and target customers
  • Provide technical support to the assigned customer base by leveraging internal resources and subject matter experts

We are looking to speak with individuals who are passionate about spending maximum quality time developing and nurturing multi-level contacts with customers. This means being out in the “field”, travelling to customers operations across your territory and further afield when required. You can expect to be travelling at least 30% of your time.

Our customers’ Accounts Managers build great relationships and have excellent communication skills, building partnerships with stakeholders internally and externally alike.

With a degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or another related field, candidates will bring experience in some or all of Hydrolysates, Yeast Extract, Cell Culture Media Supplements and/or Microbial Fermentation. Candidates with experience in developing and selling solutions to customers in pharma or biotech comprising these components would be very interesting.

It’s also possible that a candidate’s early career may have been in R&D, process manufacturing, operations, or quality. Their technical competence will be supported by demonstrable commercial acumen, a drive for results and excellent negotiation skills.

The Account Manager will be a strategic thinker, able to understand competitive insights and translate that into an effective strategy and action plan. Candidates need to be proactive and operate well with autonomy.
